It is Good to Trust

Author: admin

IMG_0058Trust is defined as – reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. In a world where people are struggling to trust, it is important for you to trust in the Lord. Society struggles to trust government officials, police officers, priests, the list can go on and on. This is partly because of the sins of the past.

Jesus was a man without sin, who took on your sin and mine so that we could be redeemed from sin. He was approved by God through signs wonders and miracles. He is the most loyal, loving, dependable friend and the savior of the world. Let’s make sure we don’t put God in the same category that we’ve put government officials, police officers or even priests. He is not sinful man, He is God.

It is good to trust. In fact, the word trust is listed in Holy Bible approximately 134 times. Below you will find some of my favorite trust quotes.

God is God. Because He is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will, a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what He is up to.

Elisabeth Elliot

God has wisely kept us in the dark concerning future events and reserved for himself the knowledge of them, that he may train us up in a dependence upon himself and a continued readiness for every event.

Matthew Henry

A person who wholly follows the Lord is one who believes that the promises of God are trustworthy, that He is with His people, and that they are well able to overcome.

Watchman Nee

It is good to trust. The bible exhorts us by saying, ” Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Prov. 3:5&6)

When one finds himself in trouble, he usually focuses on the problem in order to get free of it or resolve it in some way. Resolving problems takes a lot of extra focus. However, I would like to challenge you to change your your method of dealing with the challenges that come with life. Instead of focussing on the problem focus on the Lord. Trust him to help you out of your troubles. That’s exactly what King David did. Ps. 25:15 reveals that when David needed help during a troublesome time in his life he said, ” Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.”
